Pandemic Observations -- February 17, Top 40+ Nations (Vaccination Rates):

New Covid-19 cases worldwide have now fallen by 50% off their early January peak, and are at their lowest level since mid-October.  Likewise, the weekly global death toll is now nearly 30% off its late January high and back down to its lowest level since late November.

International vaccination rates, though still at fairly modest levels in most places, may be starting to become a significant factor in Israel and the UAE, which have already succeeded in administering at least one dose to over half their respective populations according to Our World in Data.
